          Karl seems to have a song in his head at any given moment. He wakes up and starts singing into his recorder, much to the annoyance of his wife. "Some of my best songs are written at the least opportune times, At a dinner party, on a bus, wlking out in the woods, or in the middle of the night. I love writing music. To describe it, it seems like just being in touch with life, mystery, and art and sound and feelings all at once."
